Digital asset prices move quickly. The amount you receive can differ from the estimate within the slippage you accept. Transactions on a blockchain cannot be reversed: sending the wrong asset, the wrong amount or to the wrong address can mean losing funds. Swaps are executed by third-party networks; if one of them fails, your funds are refunded according to that network's rules, which can take time. Orders to Monero (XMR) are bought from independent sellers: if one fails, your order waits for another, which can take time, the failed attempt's network fees are taken from your deposit, and your deposit goes back only when you ask for it.
